Northstar is one of Bata's Inhouse brands which I have been doing product development for and working on. Northstar has two different molds for sole units which we use to inject the uppers to. The first is a toe cap similar to Converse and the other is a sneaker version which has a high bumper and neater foxing.
The first development I did with the toe cap mold was retro designed uppers which have a 90's Hip Hop feel to them as seen below:
