HISTORY
The PATA PATA brand
was established in Kenya by Bata in 1981. We saw the opportunity for the PATA PATA brand
in RSA, and negotiated to purchase the brand from Niven Clothing in 2014. Since then, our
product development centre in Guangzhou, China, have designed a new collection
of thongs, now branded PATA PATA which will be distributed globally by
Bata companies. With the tagline “FEELING GOOD” we plan to position Pata Pata in the RSA market as a quality branded
thong at an affordable price.
I was responsible for all the
marketing material for Pata Pata. I re-invented and re-made the corporate
identity for the brand, keeping within the tagline of "feeling good".
